Uganda Christian University (UCU) Kampala Campus has officially received the newly completed John Senyonyi Building, along with additional external developments, including a basketball court and compound paving.
The project, constructed by Delcom Construction Limited, marks a significant milestone in the campus’s development as part of the ongoing Campus Transformation Initiative.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, UCU Vice Chancellor Canon Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi expressed his satisfaction with the progress made.
“We have come a long way with this campus, and we hope our students will enjoy these new facilities,” he said, emphasizing the university’s commitment to enhancing the learning environment.
Eng. David Kivumbi, Director of Facilities and Capital Projects, commended the contractors for their quality workmanship and acknowledged Kampala Campus Administrator Anitah Nshakira for her coordination efforts. He also extended his gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his visionary leadership in expanding and improving the university’s infrastructure.
Representing the student body, Guild President Mr. Ivan Hiire Mwiima expressed appreciation for the developments, particularly highlighting the excitement around the new basketball court.
“This court will greatly support us in both sports and student activities,” he remarked.
The handover marks a key milestone in UCU Kampala Campus’s ongoing growth, reinforcing its commitment to providing a conducive academic and extracurricular environment for students, faculty, and staff.
