Renowned socialite and Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC TV) photographer, Saad Byakuleka, popularly known as Saad Shots, has died in a tragic motor accident. His death was confirmed by UBC TV in an official statement.
“Our own, Saad Shots, is among the victims confirmed dead in a fatal accident this evening along the Entebbe Airport Highway,” the broadcaster announced.
The incident was also confirmed by Luke Oweyesigyire, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Kampala Metropolitan Police.
“Yes, it is true. Two motorcycles were involved in a fatal accident at Bugonga Junction near the Air Base. Both riders were pronounced dead at the scene. Efforts are underway to transport their bodies to the Mulago City Mortuary,” Oweyesigyire stated.
By press time, Daily Star had learned that Saad Shots’ body had been released from Mulago Mortuary and was en route to his ancestral home in Kazo District, where he will be laid to rest tomorrow.
