MTN Uganda has unveiled a newly rebranded roundabout in Arua City and reopened its modernised MTN Service Centre as part of its ongoing commitment to enhance customer experience and contribute to urban beautification across Uganda.
The two developments, launched during Customer Service Week, reflect MTN’s continued investment in infrastructure, customer service, and community engagement.
The new Arua roundabout, prominently branded in MTN’s signature yellow, stands as a symbol of partnership between the company and Arua City leadership in improving the city’s public spaces.
Speaking at the launch, Joseph Bogera, General Manager Sales and Distribution at MTN Uganda, said the company’s initiative demonstrates MTN’s dedication to supporting city development while strengthening its connection with customers.
“This roundabout is not just a landmark; it is a statement of partnership, commitment, and progress,”he said.
“For 27 years, MTN has grown alongside our customers, and this celebration is our way of saying thank you to Arua for being part of our story. As we reopen our modernised service centre, we reaffirm our promise to deliver better service, stronger networks, and more memorable experiences for everyone.”
The event was attended by city leaders, MTN customers, and members of the community. Arua City officials commended MTN for its contribution to the city’s transformation and for fostering collaboration with local authorities.
“We appreciate MTN Uganda for choosing Arua City as a centre of its investment and visibility in the region,” said Job Richard Matua, Assistant RCC of Arua City.
“The rebranded roundabout not only enhances the beauty of our city but also reflects the power of partnerships that promote development and civic pride. MTN’s contribution will be remembered as part of Arua’s growth journey.”
As part of the celebrations, MTN Uganda announced a free entertainment concert at the OPM grounds in Arua City, featuring performances by both local and national artists. Entry to the concert was free, with attendees enjoying special offers including 10% cashback on beer purchases made via USSD and 35% cashback on purchases made using MTN MoMo.
The line-up included local talents Monopoly Bad Character and Jim Kennedy, alongside national artists Cindy, Coco Finger, Chandiru, and Clever J. The show was also hosted by popular local MCs Man Pato and Zig Zagga.
The Arua event followed the successful unveiling of another MTN-branded roundabout in Jinja City last month, part of a broader initiative by MTN Uganda to partner with local governments to enhance urban spaces and celebrate community pride.
MTN Uganda continues to invest in improving service delivery, digital inclusion, and customer experience in line with its Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on leading digital solutions for Africa’s progress.
