Travellers at Namayiba Bus Park were recently treated to a delightful surprise as Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda activated its popular “Share a Coke” campaign, distributing personalized bottles of Coca-Cola to passengers heading to destinations such as Kenya, Gulu, Juba, and beyond.

The activation sparked excitement throughout the bus park, with many passengers thrilled to receive bottles labeled with popular names. For some, the experience became even more special when they discovered bottles bearing their own names.

Jimmy Ogwal, Manager of Mega Buses at Namayiba, praised Coca-Cola for the thoughtful gesture.

“You’ve truly surprised us,” he said. “The passengers are thrilled—not just by the refreshing taste of Coke, but because the bottles have their names on them. I saw a lady excited after receiving a bottle labeled ‘Patricia,’ and it turned out to be her name.”

Ogwal added that the joyful atmosphere created by the campaign had left a lasting impression.

“Coca-Cola has set a great tone for travellers as they begin their journeys. On behalf of all bus park operators, I want to thank them for this heartwarming initiative.”

Etoo Christina, a staff member at Bebeto Buses, echoed the enthusiasm.

“We are grateful for the surprise from Coke. The drink tastes as good as ever, and the names on the bottles really got us smiling. On behalf of our clients, I thank Coca-Cola and hope they return again.”

Passengers, too, expressed their joy. David Onen, who received a bottle labeled with his name, said the gesture meant more than just refreshment.

“From today onwards, I’ll be searching for my name, ‘David,’ wherever Coke is sold,” he said. “What Coca-Cola has done is more than just giving us a drink. It helped even those who boarded buses without money for snacks to have something along the way.”

The “Share a Coke” campaign continues its journey across Uganda’s bus parks—spreading smiles, creating connections, and celebrating the simple joy of sharing, one personalized bottle at a time.
