The Electoral Commission (EC) has called on Ugandans to turn up and update their information during the ongoing display of the National Voters Register.
The display exercise began on April 25, 2025, and is set to conclude on May 15, 2025. It is a critical step in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and public participation as the country prepares for the 2025/2026 General Elections.
โThe Electoral Commission appeals to all stakeholders in the electoral process to actively participate in the display exercise and adhere to the issued guidelines,โ said Justice Simon Byabakama, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
The exercise is vital, as it can determine whether an individual will be allowed to vote on polling day. During this period, citizens are encouraged to verify that their names are spelled correctly, confirm they are registered in the correct parish, and report any names of deceased persons or individuals under the age of 18.
To confirm your photo and personal details, voters are advised to visit their designated display center in person before May 15, 2025.
