At least 15 people have died in fresh floods following heavy rains on Saturday morning in the districts of Kapchorwa, Kween, and Bukwo.
The incident comes just days after Thursday’s tragedy in Bukwo, where nine people lost their lives when rainfall triggered mudslides in Benet Sub-county, Kween District.
According to local reports, the disaster occurred after several hours of continuous downpour, leaving many residents displaced and burying homes and property under mud and debris.
Roads and farmlands have also suffered extensive damage, disrupting transport and livelihoods across the affected areas.
