The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has promoted three Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) officers to the rank of Acting Major General.
The promotions were confirmed by Major General Felix Kulayigye, the Director of Defence Public Information at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs.
According to Maj. Gen. Kulayigye, the officers’ promotions align with the new establishment and recognize their outstanding track records of service.
The newly promoted officers—Charles Byanyima, Deus Sande, and Daniel Kakono—were elevated from the rank of Brigadier General to Acting Major General.
