To save voters from the hassle of transportation costs and long queues, the Electoral Commission now allows registered voters to verify their details remotely and at their convenience.
After submitting their NIN and completing a CAPTCHA to confirm they are not robots, voters will be able to view details such as their polling station, date of birth, district of birth, and other registration information.
The display of the National Voters Register began on April 25, 2025, and will run until May 15, 2025, ahead of the 2026 general elections.
During this period, the Voters Register will be displayed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including weekends, at all polling stations across Uganda.
This exercise aims to allow voters to check and confirm the accuracy of their details on the Voters Register and ensure that each voterโs photograph appears against the correct information.
It is also aimed that enabling the public to raise objections regarding incorrect entries, such as inclusion or removal of a voterโs details.
Voters are encouraged to report to the Display Officer any individuals who: Are deceased, are under 18 years of age, reside or originate from a parish other than the one they are registered in, or appear more than once on the Voters Register.
