KCB Bank Uganda has urged women entrepreneurs in the creative industry to look beyond routine banking and embrace strategic investment to grow and sustain their businesses.

The message was delivered during the Flower Land Fest 2026 held at Design Hub in Bugolobi, where the bank participated as a Gold Sponsor. The festival marked the closing of the 2026 Annual Women’s History Exhibit themed “A Garden of Her Own.”

The event drew hundreds of young professionals, creatives and small business founders, turning the venue into a vibrant showcase of innovation, networking and enterprise.

Female-led micro and small businesses displayed their brands while engaging with industry experts and financial advisors on how to scale their ventures within Uganda’s fast-growing creative economy.

During a panel discussion on “Women and the Creative Economy,” Gladys Nalukenge Lubowa, Relationship Manager for Women in Business at KCB Bank Uganda, encouraged creatives to complement their talent with strong financial planning.

“Many creatives concentrate on their craft but rarely think about financial tools beyond everyday transactions,” Nalukenge said. “Yet building something lasting requires financial stability. Strategic investment and proper financial planning are essential for long-term business growth.”

She noted that KCB Bank is encouraging women to tap into SME financing, investment planning and digital financial solutions to strengthen their businesses.

“Whether you are a fashion designer, an artist or a digital content creator, KCB Bank Uganda is ready to support you in building a sustainable enterprise,” she said.

At the festival, the bank also hosted an interactive engagement booth where participants received financial guidance on SME financing options, investment planning and digital banking tools.

As the “Because of Her” celebrations came to a close, KCB Bank Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to supporting women-led businesses through capacity-building initiatives and specialized financial solutions throughout the year.
