President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Dr. Charles Olaro as the new Director General of Health Services, the Daily Star can reliably report.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed his appointment.
Dr. Olaro has been a cornerstone of Uganda’s health sector, bringing years of dedicated service as a senior consultant surgeon. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to clinical care and the development of health systems across the country.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Olaro served as Director of Clinical Services. Since November 2024, he has held the position of Acting Director General of Health Services.
