President Yoweri Museveni has made sweeping administrative changes, transferring 25 Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) and Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) across Uganda. The reshuffle, announced this week, takes immediate effect.

In the changes, Asuman Nasike, formerly the RCC for Mbale City, has been transferred to Fort Portal City. Stanley Bayole, who was serving in Fort Portal, will now take over as the new RDC for Mbale District.

Meanwhile, George William Wopuwa, previously the RDC for Mbale District, has been reassigned to Mbale City as RCC. Lukka Kagenyi, former deputy RDC for Manafwa, has been posted to Kawempe Division in Kampala as deputy RCC.

Other notable changes include: Maj. Saleh Kamba, transferred from Kabarole to Manafwa as RDC; Patience Wibule Edith, moved from Manafwa to Maracha as RDC; Hajji Umaru Lule Mawiya, reassigned from Mubende to Kampala City as RCC.

Henry Kitambula, previously deputy RCC for Lubaga, now posted to Fort Portal City as deputy RCC for the Central Division while Moses Ariho, moved from Fort Portal Central Division to Lubaga as deputy RCC.

The reshuffle also includes a direct swap between: Hajji Sempala Kigozi, RDC Mpigi, now transferred to Kiboga, and Hajji Dumba Sentamu, RDC Kiboga, now reassigned to Mpigi.

Other deputy-level reassignments include: Ntange Andrew, formerly deputy RCC Jinja City, now deputy RDC Njeru Municipality (Buikwe); Bakaki Andrew Ronald, from deputy RDC Soroti, now deputy RDC Sironko and Kasibante Hassan, deputy RDC Mukono, now deputy RCC Jinja South Division.

In Eastern Uganda: Juliet Solome Namara, RDC Namisindwa, now heads to Bududa as RDC while Madoi Elijah, RDC Bududa, has been posted to Namisindwa.

Other appointees include: Paddy Kayondo, now RDC Mitooma; Seif Katabaazi, deputy RDC Luweero, promoted and transferred to Kalungu as full RDC.
