Barely a week after introducing her fiancé at their Bwebajja home, Jackie Rebecca Nanyonjo and Philip Mubeezi Kasimbi exchanged their matrimonial vows at Namirembe Cathedral on Friday.
Jackie is the daughter of Ambassador Henry Mayega, former Consul General of Uganda’s Consulate in Dubai, and Dr. Florence Nakayiwa Mayega. Philip, on the other hand, is the son of Rev. Canon Silas Musoke and Jannette Idah Musoke.
Dressed in a stunning white wedding gown, Jackie was gracefully escorted down the aisle by her parents, Ambassador Henry and Dr. Florence, to a waiting Philip. Cheers and jubilation filled the cathedral as family, friends, and well-wishers witnessed the moment.
The groom, from the Musoke family of Kigogwa, looked dashing in a black suit paired with a matching bowtie as he made his way into the hallowed halls of the cathedral.
The ceremony was officiated by Retired Assistant Bishop for the Kampala Diocese, Hannington Mutebi, who later pronounced Jackie and Philip husband and wife.
