Police are holding Byaruhanga Hillary, a 28-year-old private security guard attached to Don World Security Limited, for the alleged murder of his employer, Anthony Mutinisa, a 53-year-old businessman and proprietor of Mutinisa Motors Uganda.
According to preliminary reports, Byaruhanga is suspected of shooting Mutinisa in cold blood on Sunday evening before fleeing the scene with the victim’s vehicle — a Toyota, registration number UA 769 BQ.
The vehicle was later recovered by police in Katwe Cell, Kihihi Town Council, also in Kanungu District.
Byaruhanga was found in the company of another individual, Akampa Mark, who has also been arrested to aid ongoing investigations.
Police say investigations into the motive and circumstances surrounding the killing are underway.
