The Antifascist International, Uganda Chapter strongly condemns the latest escalation of U.S. imperialist aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The deployment of warships and nuclear submarines in the Caribbean Sea, following the outrageous $50 million bounty on Comrade President Nicolás Maduro, is a blatant violation of sovereignty and international law.

This is not an isolated act; it is part of a long pattern of imperialist interventions driven by resource greed and arrogance. As Africans, we recognize this history, for our continent has also endured centuries of exploitation and neocolonial interference. The
struggle of Venezuela is therefore also the struggle of Africa. When one sovereign nation is attacked, the dignity of all nations is endangered. On this International Day of Solidarity with Venezuela (30th August 2025), we, the people of Uganda, stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution. Their defense of independence and social justice mirrors Africa’s own ongoing fight against external control.

We demand:

  1. The immediate withdrawal of U.S. warships, submarines, and marine forces from the
    Caribbean.
  2. An end to all forms of aggression and destabilization.
  3. Respect for the sovereignty and self-determination of all nations.

From Kampala to Caracas, Africa to Latin America, our unity is a shield against imperialism. Venezuela’s frontline today may be Africa’s tomorrow, thus; our solidarity is not charity but mutual defense.

Long live the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela!
Long live Comrade President Nicolás Maduro!
Long live Pan-African and Latin American unity!
Down with imperialism!
