Leader of the Opposition in Parliament (LoP), Joel Ssenyonyi, is among those handed a parliamentary ticket ahead of the nomination exercise scheduled for October, Daily Star has learned.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) Election Management Committee, led by its chairperson Harriet Chemutai, has officially released the list of parliamentary candidates who will represent the party in the forthcoming general election.
Ssenyonyi, who currently serves as Nakawa West MP, is expected to defend his seat under the NUP flag.
