Coca-Cola is bringing back its legendary Share a Coke campaign, reimagined for a new generation with fresh brand experiences and a renewed celebration of personal connection.

First launched in 2011, the groundbreaking campaign replaced the iconic Coca-Cola logo with individual names, setting a new standard in brand personalization. Now, the magic returns—inviting Ugandans to share a Coke, celebrate friendship, and create lifelong memories.

In today’s fast-paced digital world, genuine connection matters more than ever. Research shows that 72% of Gen Z seek authenticity and value real connections in all aspects of life.* With so much of our interaction happening online, Share a Coke offers a tangible way to express appreciation and care—one personalized bottle at a time.

This year, the brand introduces an enhanced customization platform, featuring a broader selection of names and the option to add your own unique message. Can’t find your name on the bottle? Simply scan the QR code to access the Share a Coke digital hub, where you can create a virtual Coca-Cola bottle to share with friends, family, and loved ones.

While digital tools help us stay connected, it’s real-life moments that leave lasting impressions. Today, physical ‘third spaces’—those social environments outside of home and work—are increasingly rare. The Share a Coke campaign champions these shared spaces and celebrates the friendships that define this generation, bringing people together to create meaningful memories.

To mark the campaign’s relaunch, Coca-Cola has introduced the Share a Coke Memory Maker—a fun, interactive digital experience where users can create custom memes and videos with friends and family. Collaborating with popular content creators, the platform offers unique templates to personalize your content while enjoying a refreshing Coca-Cola. The experience is available via the Share a Coke digital hub.

So, how can you join the fun? Look out for personalized Coca-Cola bottles in stores, and get ready to share the magic with your crew.

In Uganda, the campaign kicked off at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), where consumers were treated to an immersive launch event. Highlights included a vibrant Cultural Gala showcasing East African heritage through storytelling, dance, art, fashion exhibitions, and traditional cuisine. The event also featured performances by local artists and DJs, alongside interactive experiential zones designed to engage and delight.

Vivienne Olenyo, Frontline Marketing Manager for Coca-Cola Uganda, shared: “In our increasingly digital lives, it’s more important than ever to recognize and cherish the bonds of friendship. Share a Coke reminds us that life’s most memorable moments often happen when we come together—sharing laughter, stories, and authentic connections. It’s those spontaneous, real interactions, often sparked over a Coca-Cola bottle, that bring true magic to everyday life.”
