Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has revised its release calendar for major national surveys and census reports, signalling adjustments in the timeline for dissemination of key data.
In a statement earlier this month, UBOS said the earlier schedule released on March 3, 2026, had been updated, with a new rollout plan now in effect.
Under the revised programme, the first report, the National Population and Housing Census 2024 Community Module (Volume 6), was scheduled for release on April 9, 2026, through the UBOS census portal.
The Labour Market Survey Report 2025 will follow on April 16, ahead of the National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2025 on April 23. The Uganda Aquaculture Census Report 2025 is expected on April 30.
In May, UBOS plans to release the Uganda Harmonised Indicator Survey reports on May 7, covering Waves I and II (2021 to 2024) as well as Wave III for 2025. The Baseline Education Census Report 2025 will follow on May 14, while the Uganda Business Inquiry 2019 to 2020 is slated for May 21.
The Bureau said all reports will be published on its official website on the respective release dates to ensure public access.
UBOS also noted that several reports have already been disseminated, including the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey Report 2025, the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children Census Monograph 2024 (Volume 4), and the Multi Dimensional Poverty Index Census Monograph 2024 (Volume 5).
The updated schedule comes as demand for timely and reliable data continues to grow, with policymakers, researchers and development partners increasingly relying on official statistics to guide planning and decision making.
