Uganda Baati Limited has expanded its presence in Eastern Uganda with the launch of a new showroom in Kamuli district, as part of efforts to bring roofing and building solutions closer to fast-growing communities.

The facility, located along Kitimbo Road, becomes the company’s 20th showroom nationwide and is expected to serve customers from Kamuli, Buyende, Luuka, Kayunga and surrounding areas.

Company officials say the outlet is aimed at improving access to durable and affordable steel roofing products while supporting the region’s increasing demand for construction materials driven by rapid urbanisation.

The showroom stocks a range of Uganda Baati’s flagship brands, including Resincot, Covermax, Versatile, Orientile, Romantile and the premium Lifestile stone-coated tiles, targeting both cost-conscious households and high-end homeowners.

Beyond retail, the outlet will also function as a technical resource centre for local fundis, contractors and hardware dealers, offering product training, technical guidance and a more reliable supply chain.

Uganda Baati says this approach is intended to improve construction standards while stimulating business activity within the district.

“This showroom is a strategic step in bringing our products and services closer to the people of Kamuli and neighbouring areas,” said Patrick Katende, head of service centres at Uganda Baati. “It is also about building a dependable support system for customers, contractors and fundis through expert guidance and after-sales service.”

The launch was officiated by Kamuli Resident District Commissioner Rose Birungi, who welcomed the investment, citing its potential to boost access to quality materials and create opportunities for local businesses.

Uganda Baati has in recent years been expanding its retail network as it seeks to deepen market reach and support housing development across the country.
