Uganda Baati Limited (UBL) has reinforced its partnership with the Buganda Kingdom following a high-level courtesy visit to the Katikkiro, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, at Bulange, Mengo.
The meeting brought together leaders from both institutions for strategic discussions focused on collaboration, shared priorities, and long-term impact.
A key highlight was Uganda Baati’s commitment of Shs 10 million towards the upcoming Kabaka Birthday Run, scheduled for April 12, 2026. The contribution underscores the company’s continued support for initiatives that mobilize communities and address critical health and social issues.
Discussions also explored ways Uganda Baati can deepen its presence within Buganda by aligning its Lifestyle product range with the Kingdom’s vibrant business ecosystem. The engagement highlighted opportunities to connect with traders, homeowners, and entrepreneurs who drive economic activity across the region.
The Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, welcomed the company’s continued engagement, emphasizing the importance of partnerships that respond to community needs.
“We appreciate partners who take the time to understand our priorities and engage meaningfully. Uganda Baati’s commitment reflects a level of intentionality that aligns with our vision of improving livelihoods and strengthening our communities,” he said.
Uganda Baati Chief Executive Officer George Arodi emphasized the company’s focus on building impactful, long-term relationships.
“This engagement reflects how seriously we take partnerships rooted in community and relevance. Our continued dialogue with the Kingdom is part of a broader commitment to remain responsive and aligned with the people we serve,” he noted.
In line with the run’s theme, “Men Against HIV/AIDS to Save the Girl Child,” Uganda Baati will also set up a mobile clinic during the event to provide counseling and distribute HIV awareness materials.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to sustained collaboration through practical initiatives aimed at delivering long-term value and community impact. Both Uganda Baati and the Buganda Kingdom expressed confidence in the strength of their partnership and its potential for mutual growth.
