The United States and Israel reportedly carried out military strikes on Iran early Saturday, with explosions reported in several cities, including Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, Kermanshah, and the capital, Tehran.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed it had launched missiles and drones toward Israeli territory.

“In response to the aggression of the hostile and criminal enemy against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the first wave of extensive missile and drone attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the occupied territories has begun,” the IRGC said in a statement.

Iran’s Interior Ministry called on citizens to remain calm, describing the attacks as violations of international law. The ministry instructed provincial governors to monitor the situation, ensure prompt reporting, and mobilize facilities to address citizens’ needs.

Earlier this week, Iran’s President Pezeshkian denied accusations regarding nuclear weapons development, reaffirming that Iran does not seek to produce nuclear arms. Likewise, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi told the UN Conference on Disarmament that Iran advocates for complete disarmament and the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

The situation remains fluid as both sides continue military operations, and international calls for restraint are mounting.
