Unilever, a global leader in fast-moving consumer goods, has introduced the Royco String Pack in response to growing consumer demand for convenience and accessibility.
A beloved staple in Ugandan homes for generations, Royco is renowned for enhancing the flavor of local dishes. The transition to the Royco String Pack—locally known as #KaCubeKuString reflects Unilever’s commitment to innovation while maintaining the same bold flavor and high nutritional value that consumers trust.
The new format features 12 cubes neatly arranged on a string, simplifying storage and usage. Despite the packaging upgrade, affordability remains a priority, with each string pack available for just Shs 100.
Speaking at the launch event in Gulu City, Unilever East Africa GM, Luck Ochieng, emphasized Royco’s legacy and nutritional benefits:
“Each cube is packed with essential nutrients, including iron for healthy blood and energy levels. With natural herbs and spices like coriander, garlic, cumin, turmeric, and paprika, Royco enhances flavor while supporting overall well-being. Grace Nandawula, Marketing Manager, Uganda, highlighted how the Royco String Pack directly addresses consumer needs:

Despite the packaging change, Royco cubes retain their original formulation, packed with essential nutrients like iron and iodine, making them a nutritious choice for families. Unilever continues to uphold its rigorous quality assurance standards, ensuring every cube delivers the same depth of flavor and reliability.
