President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Arthur Mugyenyi as the new Director General of the Internal Security Organization (ISO).

The appointment was confirmed by Faruk Kirunda, the Special Presidential Assistant for Press and Mobilization at the Office of the President.

“His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has appointed the following persons to their respective positions,” Kirunda announced.

Mugyenyi replaces Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka, who passed away in January.

Additionally, Museveni appointed Tony Kinyera Apecu as the Deputy Director General of ISO, replacing Col. Emmy Katabazi, who was appointed Deputy Ambassador.
