A wave of jubilation has swept across the Busoga Kingdom as Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV and Queen Jovia Mutesi proudly welcome the birth of their twin sons.

The royal twins, Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, were born on August 27, 2025, a joyous event confirmed by Eng. Patrick Batumbya, who chaired the committee for the couple’s grand royal wedding.

The Kyabazinga took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to personally share the heartwarming news with the public.

“With deep joy and immense gratitude, I’m honored to announce the arrival of our twin sons: Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, born on August 27, 2025,” he wrote.

He described the moment as a deeply treasured milestone, expressing happiness that both the twins and their mother are in excellent health.

“This is a moment we will cherish forever. The birth of our sons is a double blessing that fills our hearts with gratitude. The boys and their incredible mother are all doing well and in high spirits,” the monarch added.

Grateful for the support and prayers they’ve received, the Kyabazinga offered thanks to both God and the wider community of well-wishers.

“We are humbled by the love, prayers, and goodwill shared with us. We give thanks to the Almighty for His boundless grace as we embrace this beautiful new chapter as a family of four.”

The royal family is expected to formally present the young princes to the people of Busoga and other well-wishers in the near future, in keeping with cultural tradition.

This joyful occasion follows the couple’s celebrated wedding on November 18, 2023, held at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe, Jinja—the first royal wedding in Busoga since 1956. The ceremony was presided over by Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu and followed by a majestic procession to Igenge Palace.

The birth of the twin princes is viewed as a significant event for the continuation of the royal lineage and the preservation of Busoga’s cultural heritage. Traditional rites and private blessings are expected to mark their official introduction into royal life.
