Makerere University is set to confer 185 postgraduate degrees during its 76th graduation ceremony.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place from 24–27 February 2026 at Freedom Square.
The four-day event will see thousands of students from various colleges and academic units awarded degrees and diplomas in recognition of their successful completion of studies.
In total, 2,034 Master’s degrees, 6,043 Bachelor’s degrees, 137 postgraduate diplomas, and 33 specialised postgraduate diplomas will be conferred during the ceremony.
The University announced that graduation gowns will be issued starting 2 February 2026 at the University Hall dining hall. Graduands will be required to present valid identification and proof of payment when collecting their gowns.
The University encouraged all graduating students to complete their preparations in time and to continue following official platforms for further updates regarding the ceremony.
