Coca Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) has rewarded 54 top performing distributors with fully kitted Tuk Tuk delivery vehicles under its Tuk Tuk Peak Challenge, aimed at boosting last mile distribution across the country.
The initiative recognised distributors who achieved peak sales targets, equipping them with practical tools to expand their reach, improve efficiency, and better serve customers.
The Tuk Tuks are expected to strengthen last mile delivery by enabling distributors to access more outlets and ensure consistent product availability, keeping beverages within easy reach for consumers.
Ellis Muhimbise, Sales Director at CCBU, a company within the Coca Cola Beverages Africa group, presided over the handover ceremony.
“For Coca Cola Beverages Africa, partnering with customers for growth means creating shared value beyond the product,” said CCBU General Manager Emmy Hashakimana.
“By rewarding strong execution and investing in our distributors’ capacity, we enable them to grow their businesses while improving availability for consumers,” he added.
The Tuk Tuk Challenge forms part of CCBU’s broader strategy focused on customer centric execution, reliable service delivery, and building strong, long term partnerships with distributors across Uganda.
Hashakimana emphasised that the company is increasingly leveraging data and market insights to better respond to customer needs and drive growth.
“It is about understanding the unique needs of different market segments and ensuring product availability at the right time, place, and price,” he said. “We are also using data and analytics to anticipate customer demand and preferences.”
He added that CCBU is committed to supporting its retail partners through tailored solutions, promotions, and insights that help them grow their businesses.
“We aim to provide best in class service to our partners while empowering them to expand and succeed,” Hashakimana said.
The initiative underscores the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its distribution network and enhance service delivery in Uganda’s fast moving consumer goods sector.
