The father of the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, Mr. Besweri Kaddu, has passed on.
Mr. Kaddu passed away yesterday at Mengo Hospital, where he had been hospitalised. His death was confirmed by Archbishop Kaziimba.
“Brother Bishops and Maamas, clergy, and all God’s people, praise God from whom all blessings flow. I hereby inform you that my father, Besweri Kaddu, has passed on to glory today, 14th April 2026,” he said.
He also thanked God for the gift of life granted to his father.
According to the burial programme, a funeral service will be held at All Saints’ Cathedral, Nakasero, tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a vigil at Gulama, Najja in Buikwe District at 6:00 p.m.
The deceased will be laid to rest on Friday at Gulama, Najja, Buikwe District.
