dfcu Bank has partnered with CFAO Mobility Uganda to offer financing of up to 100 per cent of vehicle value to customers seeking to acquire new Toyota vehicles, in a move aimed at easing the high upfront cost of vehicle ownership.
The partnership, announced during the launch of the new Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Land Cruiser FJ at the Toyota showroom on 1st Street, Industrial Area, Kampala, will allow qualifying customers to access vehicle financing at a preferential interest rate of 17 per cent per annum, with repayment periods of up to 84 months.
The financing remains subject to credit assessment and the terms of the campaign.
The package also includes one year of free fuel, five years of free servicing, discounts on comprehensive insurance and one year of roadside assistance.
Eligible customers will also receive travel booking discounts, health insurance for two loved ones and VIP lounge access for qualifying cardholders, subject to the applicable offer terms.
Charles Mudiwa, dfcu Bank chief executive officer, said access to productive assets such as vehicles can support individual livelihoods and business growth, but the upfront cost often prevents customers from acquiring them.
“Throughout our history, we have seen how access to the right asset can transform an individual’s livelihood or accelerate the growth of a business. The challenge is often not whether the asset is needed, but whether customers can commit significant capital to acquire it at once,” Mudiwa said.
He said asset financing allows customers to acquire the assets they need while preserving funds for business operations, expansion and other priorities.
“This partnership with CFAO Mobility Uganda enables us to extend that support to customers seeking dependable mobility solutions,” he said.
The partnership extends dfcu’s Vehicle and Asset Finance offering to customers seeking brand-new Toyota vehicles from CFAO Mobility Uganda.
Etienne Audeoud, managing director of CFAO Mobility Uganda, said customers were increasingly considering the overall cost and convenience of vehicle ownership, including maintenance and financing, when making purchasing decisions.
“Customers want certainty throughout the ownership experience. They want a quality vehicle, professional support after purchase and financing that is practical for their circumstances,” Audeoud said.
“Through this partnership, we are combining those elements in a way that makes vehicle acquisition more accessible and convenient,” he added.
The financing offer coincides with the launch of the new Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Land Cruiser FJ.
The RAV4 combines hybrid technology with comfort, Toyota’s advanced safety technology and everyday versatility, while the Land Cruiser FJ brings the Land Cruiser brand’s durability and terrain capability into a compact SUV.
The partnership is targeting professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses that require new vehicles but may prefer to preserve their available capital for operations and other investments.
By spreading the cost of acquisition over a longer repayment period, dfcu and CFAO Mobility Uganda said the arrangement is intended to reduce the initial financial burden associated with purchasing a new vehicle.
The partnership comes as demand for reliable mobility solutions continues to grow, with the two companies positioning the financing arrangement as a way of supporting business activity, personal mobility and economic participation.
For customers who qualify, the offer provides a combination of vehicle financing and ownership-related benefits, while giving them access to new Toyota models through CFAO Mobility Uganda.
