National Unity Platform (NUP) Vice President for Buganda, Muwanga Kivumbi, has been rearrested in Mpigi, just hours after being granted bail by court.
Kivumbi was intercepted at a roadblock while travelling to Kampala, in a dramatic turn of events that has raised fresh questions about his legal troubles and movements.
Details surrounding the arrest remain unclear, with authorities yet to issue an official statement on the circumstances leading to his re-arrest.
The opposition leader had earlier secured bail alongside several co-accused in a case linked to terrorism charges.
