Kansai Plascon Uganda has launched the 15th edition of its Paint and Win promotion, with more than Shs2.2 billion committed to prizes and community paint donations.

The promotion, running from October 1 to December 12, 2026, will reward customers with cash prizes, motorbikes, tuk-tuks and airtime, while extending the company’s community outreach through paint donations.

The campaign, launched at Kansai Plascon Uganda’s offices on Second Street, Industrial Area, Kampala, is themed “Koodi”, a reference to the familiar sound of knocking on a door and the return of a promotion that has become popular among customers.

Kansai Plascon Uganda managing director Santosh Gumte said the promotion was part of the company’s efforts to reward customers for their continued support while contributing to communities.

“Our customers have continued to trust us to paint their homes, businesses, schools and other spaces. That support is the reason we continue to grow, innovate and invest in Uganda,” Gumte said.

He added that the company’s commitment goes beyond selling paint, saying the promotion provides an opportunity to reward customers while supporting communities where the company operates.

As part of the campaign, Plascon will donate paint to Nsengwe Community Church in Mubende, Women’s Prison in Luzira, Kisazi Primary School in Lubwama, Sooko Catholic Parish Church in Kisoro and Shruti Swaminarayan Gurukul School in Jinja during October.

Further donations will be made to King’s Way Rehabilitation Centre in November and St Kizito Primary School in Waluleeta, Luweero District, in December.

The company will also use its dealer network across the country to engage customers, with incentives planned for dealers and other partners.

Kansai Plascon Uganda head of sales Moses Kato said dealers were central to the campaign because of their direct interaction with customers.

“Our dealers are our frontline ambassadors because they interact directly with our customers, and their support is crucial to the success of Paint and Win,” Kato said.

He said the company had scheduled engagements across the country through its dealer network to encourage customers to participate.

To enter the promotion, customers must purchase Plascon paint worth at least Shs200,000 from an authorised Kansai Plascon dealer.

Customers will receive a scratch card containing a unique code, which they must send by SMS to 7197. Every valid entry earns airtime worth Shs1,000, Shs2,000 or Shs5,000 and qualifies for the daily cash draws.

One customer will win Shs1 million every day from Monday to Saturday.

The six daily winners will then participate in a weekly game show, where cash prizes of Shs1 million, Shs800,000, Shs600,000, Shs400,000 and Shs200,000 will be awarded.

One contestant will also win a fully registered motorbike, a protective helmet and fuel worth Shs100,000.

Two fully registered tuk-tuks will be awarded during the campaign, with one given out at the halfway point and another at the end.

The tuk-tuk winners will be selected from eligible daily winners during the respective five-week periods, excluding weekly motorbike winners. Each tuk-tuk will come with a helmet and fuel worth Shs100,000.

Paint and Win awareness activations will also be held in Mbarara, Gulu, Lira, Mbale and Jinja.

At each activation, one participant will win a fully registered motorbike, a protective helmet and fuel worth Shs100,000.
