President Yoweri Museveni has ordered an end to the house arrest of former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among.
The development was announced by Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba in a brief post on X.
“Mzee has also instructed me to release AAA from house arrest. We shall do that,” Gen Muhoozi said.
Among, who served as Speaker of the 11th Parliament, has been under house arrest amid heightened political and security activity surrounding senior government and political figures.
