The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has ordered the arrest of Nation Media Group Uganda Managing Director, Susan Nsibirwa.

The directive follows the siege and subsequent shutdown of the company’s television stations, NTV Uganda and Spark TV.

In a series of posts, Gen Muhoozi said authorities were looking for Msibirwa and warned that action would be taken against her.

“I hear there is a small girl called Susan. We are looking for her. We will discipline her. She cannot cause chaos in our country. Susan Nsibirwa, I’m looking for you,” he said.

Gen Muhoozi also suggested that Nation Media Group should consider appointing a managing director capable of maintaining a professional working relationship with the government.

He cited what he described as constructive engagements by other media leaders, adding that such leadership would help the company remain commercially successful, credible, and responsive to national interests.

He further stated that all police patrols had been instructed to arrest Msibirwa on sight, making the remarks on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Details surrounding the shutdown of NTV and Spark TV remain unclear.
